“A genuine trap anthem to rival the very best in the business, MING has remixed Paul Mendez’ hot new single ” Rock” for Big Alliance Records. A bubbly, big-room banger with an array of massive festival synths and sloshy, slurping bass, MING never fails to impress, regardless of the style or genre he chooses to pursue. A highly devoted producer with a knack for all things Bass Music, we’re proud to once again play host to MING, label-boss of HoodFamous Records!” – Trapmusic.net

Luton producer and recording artist ‘5n6’ has just freshly released his debut solo music video for the track ‘Walk With Me’. The track features fellow Luton rapper and second cousin of 5n6: ‘Lil Pobidansta’ on the second verse. The track is a quality self produced track and is heavy with 808’s and classic violins setting the mood. The music video was also directed and edited by 5n6 with assistance from a local student for most of the camera operation.
The video takes you through the town centre of this up and coming artists hometown and finishes with footage/audio mixed in from a studio session where the artist is freestyling in the booth.
5n6 has been a core part of three recent UK Runnings mixtapes. He is a part of the crew ‘XO The Rebellion’ (A studio collaboration with Himself, Tommy DMO and Closure) who have a mixtape out now on datpiff called ‘Kush & Cognac’. 5n6 also released two boom bap style hip hop mixtapes as half of the rap duo ‘Collective Underground’.
Currently 5n6 is in his studio writing and recording the final tracks for his debut self produced album: ‘Parameters’ which is set for release at the end of summer 2013.

“Kick Snare And An Idea Part 2” is out on 10th June on Tru Thoughts. The second of two singles by Ty under the “Kick Snare And An Idea EP” banner, this package brings two more new songs. It closely follows “Part 1”, which made a widespread impact in April, including Official BBC 6Music Playlisting and MTV Base Playlisting for lead cut “Like You Never”, in-depth interviews with DJ 279 (Choice FM) and Huey Morgan (BBC 6Music), and repeat airplay from MistaJam (BBC 1Xtra) and Charlie Sloth (1Xtra), among heavy media support.
“Let’s Start”; the last single announced Ty’s bold intentions, and this track continues the proactive, frank and forward-looking message that has captured the public’s attention. The theme is set over a unique groove, a built-up arrangement that is neither fast nor slow, with cuts provided by Harry Love. In Ty’s words, the lyrics are “hopeful yet firm….There is a change in music coming, and this song heralds that change. We want substance over empty pop rhetoric and we want to have fun”. The video, which features an inspirational lone b-girl dancer, Teneisha Bonner, has premiered with an exclusive on MTV Base and will launch online imminently.
The second track, “Well Well Well” is a tribal 4-to-the-floor musical experiment; out-there inventive, yet with a supremely catchy, breezy feel. Collaborators on this exciting track include drummer Richard Spaven (Flying Lotus/4Hero/Jose James/Cinematic Orchestra), Joy Jones on co-vocals and Jason Yarde (Manu Dibango/Plan B) on horns. “It’s me breaking from the norm”, says Ty; “One Verse, One Message Overall, One Human Race.”
The release will also feature a set of killer remixes, to be announced, as well as Instrumentals and A Cappellas.

Rap Group Partners With Marc Ecko Enterprises To Celebrate the 20 Year Anniversary of Their Classic 93 Til Infinity Album with A Massive Nationwide Tour.
It’s hard to believe that 20 years have passed since the Oakland, California based rap group Souls of Mischief, consisting of Tajai, Opio, Phesto, and A-Plus, released their debut album 93 ‘til Infinity. The album and title track is widely considered a benchmark in the history of hip-hop music and culture not only in the US but worldwide. To commemorate this anniversary, the four-man crew will release a remix of the single “93 ‘til Infinity” featuring an all-star roster of talent (names to be announced this summer.) In addition, they will act as brand ambassadors for a limited capsule collection with iconic fashion and lifestyle brand Ecko, which also turns twenty this year. The celebration will culminate in a nationwide tour where Souls of Mischief will perform classic songs as well as new material with a live band.
Speaking on the evolution of hip-hop that has occurred since Souls of Mischief began their storied career, Hieroglyphics member Pep Love commented, “Hip-hop culture and music were destined to become pop culture from [the] beginning. Misrepresentation and exploitation are the only real problems. Hip-hop is socially conscious at its very core and its very essence. I believe that Hieroglyphics truly represents hip hop and going forward we will help to spark a resurgence and bring the true representation to the masses.”
With their constant touring, album releases, brand merchandising, infamous block parties, song placement in movie soundtracks and snowboard documentaries, and more, Souls of Mischief continue to remain a relevant, creative and inspirational force in music.

North West London artist Razor has spent the last few years networking tirelessly and raising his profile with a series of nationally recognised mixtapes, magazine features and award nominations for Exposure Music and The Official Mixtape Awards.
‘The Distraction’ is Razor’s latest EP and the follow up to 2012’s ‘Progression’ release. With this release Razor again uses his music as expression, as therapy, as catharsis; speaking on the events in his life that could have shut down him and his rise, and confronting them through his art.
Recently Razor emerged as the winner of the ‘In It To Win It’ rap competition, going up against artists like English Frank, Pyrelli and Jammin and has subsequently had the video for his song ‘Closer’ produced by Link Up TV – adding to his growing catalog of videos in rotation, including those featured on Channel AKA’s Hoodtube playlist.
Razor has also performed at open mic showcases across the city, including those hosted by DJ Charlie Sloth (BBC 1Xtra) and DJ Quincy (Choice fm), and has recently expanded beyond London, all the while pursuing his own strategy of independent distribution and promotion. Plans for touring Ayia Napa along with DJ Quincy are currently in process.
