North West London artist Razor has been working hard on his grind for time doing live performances up and down the country and getting award nominations for Exposure Music and The Official Mixtape Awards. His latest release is ‘The Distraction’ is the follow up to last years ‘Progression’ mixtape release and what a killer it is too. This EP once again sees Razor giving us humble and honest opinions whilst be entertaining. His flow and confidence seems to have grown since his last release and his music seems to stick out amongst a bunch of music that seems to be coming from the smoke. Razor is one of the hardest working emcees in the UK and releases like this confirm that hard work pays off. Make sure you grab this because the whole vibe here is special. Well recommended.

Brockton’s (MA) own Notoriety (Vydle Sinez x Incredible Chuck) returns with their latest offering, ‘Well Rested,’ produced entirely by GxWay, an EP designed for the true Hip-Hop purist. This duo has previously worked with underground lyricists such as Rapper Big Pooh (of Little Brother), Joe Scudda and Statik Selektah, as well as performed with the likes of Pac Div, Stalley and Wordsmith.
Notoriety are bringing their own unique, personal, cohesive sound to this EP, that can only be delivered with the ‘one group, one producer’ concept, something the landscape of Hip-Hop has truly missed over the past few years. ‘Well Rested’ boasts sample-packed, boom-bap, soulful production. Paired with Incredible Chuck’ crooning/beat-boxing and Vydle Sinez’ thought-provoking bars, this EP is a perfect alternative to today’s soulless mainstream mediocrity. ‘Well Rested’ is available now for FREE via AudioMack, below.

With a lot of UK music its made to be underground on purpose, which is fair enough, but when i hear releases with this much effort and passion I do think how acts like XOTR aren’t a lot more popular. This is good on so many levels, as every track earns its place on the album street mixtape. Its quality throughout and it really amazed me. Quality mixdowns and superb singing vocals with heart felt raps. This is something really special. #Impressed.

A few of you will know of Conscious Route, the emcee that released the superb ‘Real World’ album last year. Well know he’s back with another release on True Hold Records in conjunction with You Sonix Records and the legendary Sons of Scotland. Conscious Route founded the CCF movement (Conscious Collaboration Front) and holds Conscious Collective events in Edinburgh and is one of the many talented people pushing the Scottish Rap sound. The ‘CCF Mixtape Volume 1’ is something that features a string of artists, all of them repping real hard.
Music is much better when it’s done with a vibe, and that’s what you can hear on this project. It’s a label compilation that actually works like an album with a whole host of featured guests including Dillahman from B-iLLA, Midland’s rapper and KGB recording artist Big Dutty Deeze, as well as Blasfima Sinna, Werd, Novelistt and others, with the projects best beats coming from Strut, Seal El and DJ Pryzmat. One of the best mixtapes we’ve heard for a long time, great tracks, original production and a real Hip-Hop vibe!

Official Mixtape Award’s ‘Best Newcomer’ Nominee Razor is back with another superb video taken from his current mixtape release ‘Progression’. Here Razor teams up with the legendary Big Cakes and the soulful sounds of singer Saffire D’Soul.
This is definitely something warm and soulful to get us through these cold winter months, a slice of positive Hip-Hop that is already being championed by some of the UK’s leading blogs, media and DJ’s.
Check out the other music video from the ‘Progression’ mixtape…
The temperature is rising. I can feel a new wave. A London Wave… that’s right folks this is a win – win situation. If you’re like me and on the ball then you’ll already know about Yaeo. Think about it… you downloaded the F.L.I.P Mixtape with UK Runnings right? Well this is the rapper that kills it on the remix of the ‘Reppin’ track. What’s more, he is a one man army, a true musical entrepreneur and has already had the thumbs up from French Montana and Max B, two really big legends in the New York scene.
‘Brandy Dreams’ is a mixtape that reflects where Yaeo is as an artist. It really gives you a full scope of what he is about and what vibe to expect from the full length debut album that drops in 2013. This mixtape is a real mixtape, utilising sound effects and drops from some of the scene’s biggest rappers and mixtape deejays, Yaeo himself is probably unaware of how much of a future classic this is. With killer collaborations with the likes of Cerose, Queen Vic and Wordsmiff all impressing, this collection also has those solo tracks that really give depth to the mixtape.
This is an enjoyable release because it doesn’t sound like anything else. In fact it would be true to say that Yaeo doesn’t sound like anything else, or maybe in fact it’s probably best to say that nothing sounds like Yaeo. I’m in, I’m feeling this mixtape and the whole vibe and the whole international appeal is inspiring. Let’s hope he could be an emcee from the UK who could do well in the UK as well as the USA.

Philadelphia based emcee/producer Taylor Dunn recently dropped his second mixtape, On The Contrary. Dunn brings a unique style of Hip Hop to the table. Taylor has a old school style with a new age twist, which he creatively delivers witty and impactful lyrics over jazz influenced productions. Here is a link to his latest mixtape.
‘Back To The Streets Vol 1’ is the debut mixtape release from London artist and producer Biggis. This also hails the birth of the D.O.D Entertainment label that Biggis runs with his partner Durty Jokes. Already receiving major love from leading blogs and websites in the UK and the USA, Biggis is getting set for a string of releases and looking to stamp a name that will be remembered in the UK Rap scene.
Biggis ryhmes with Hip-Hop in his heart as he draws influences taken from the golden era with artists such as Notorious B.I.G, Wu Tang Clan, Nas, 2Pac and Mobb Deep all being artists he grew up listening too. Since those younger days a lot has changed and with a solid knowledge of the Hip-Hop game as well as growing up in England’s capital city he had everything he needed to pick up the microphone.
Biggis is a focused and passionate artist that has already been making waves. His previous work with a group called Universal Taal Project has led to Biggis performing live at a string of events including The Purple Turtle in Camden and La Batofar in Paris, France. Together they have released a single entitled ‘Bassline Jumping’ which is available now on iTunes, with the album ‘Renegades And Mystics’ due for release soon.
There is more to come from Biggis with his second release ‘The Official Mixtape Street Politics – Member Of Parliament’ due out this month too as well as ‘Back To The Streets Vol. 2’ currently being recorded too. The grind doesn’t stop… welcome to Biggis and welcome to a label that you can trust… D.O.D Entertainment.
