When You Want To Hear The Truth, You Want Bink$ To Get In The Booth…
His name is Bink$ Win$ton – not “the other guy that be rappin’ with The D.I.M.E.” And his brand, Dolla Bill Entertainment, proudly presents “MANish”, his debut EP. Released on June 20 2013, “MANish” explodes with the truth, as seen through the eyes of Bink$. Consequently that truth is delivered in an unvarnished, rough edged crystal shot glass. Recorded with Grammy nominated engineer Jeremy Goody (Megasonic Sound), and mixed/mastered by Deagan Mack Adams (Ineffable Music), “MANish” is made beautiful in its design and simplicity – yet dangerously appealing as it lunges for your jugular. To any fan of good rap music, the “MANish” EP is agreeably “something to look forward to” (Lou Nutt, Murder Dog Magazine).
Despite the project’s provocative cover art, “MANish” reflects the arrogance and compassion of a not so conflicted man, whose disposition is being a native of the unforgiving streets of Oakland, California. Oakland’s truths are its mothers, its fathers, its city wide pride, blue collar mentality, pimps, homeless, its gangs and drugs, its hardened streets, as well as its green, rolling hills that constantly remind others both of where they are and where they will never reach. This is Oakland, “MANish”, and Bink$ Win$ton in all their contrasting glory.
Referred to as a “hip hop Phil Spector” (D. Scot Miller, East Bay Express), Bink$ Win$ton is the Executive Producer of this very fluid, entertaining EP. “MANish”, comprised of hard, melodic rhythms and heavy hearted bass is constructed with great care and deliberate precision. With guest appearances from The D.I.M.E., and original production from Bre$Ez, Bleszid, 8ight 5ive, and NastyFace, Bink$ skillfully offers a surreal vision to his listeners. From living your life out loud to being driven for success, “MANish” personalizes the experience on a level that is both relatable and tangible to listeners from every walk of life. While it is easy for men to feel Bink$ Win$ton, women alike can appreciate the honesty in his perspective and music.
To date Bink$’ music and videos can be found on over 100 hip hop sites/blogs worldwide – a google search would show that his material is not hard to find. And no stranger to the stage, he has opened for the likes of Slick Rick, San Quinn, Tash of Tha Alkoholiks, Iyaz, and K. Michelle to name a few. With that in mind, fans are encouraged to connect to him through social media and can expect promotional show dates throughout California through the fall and winter of 2013.

Marc Summers is an artist based out of Phoenix, Arizona. His first venture into music was as a producer at the age of 15. It wasn’t till he was 18 that he wrote his first verse and from there on, he’s been writing non stop ever since. He joined a local band of talented artists known as First Flight and released “We R Future” in 2007. He then decided that he wanted to release a solo mixtape. He fell upon the title “TheAlphaTape” because this is his own personal beginning into music. Marc Summers’ goal is to share the idea of being yourself with the world through sharp lyricism, witty punchlines, and a constant vulnerability that is unique it’s own way.

Wolverhampton rapper Unseen is somewhat a new name to us, but I do remember him from his outing on Big Dutty Deeze’s ‘Underdog’ album. His flow and vocal tone are very unique and his Midland’s accent and dialect is also stand alone. This is part of the appeal as is the honesty and sincerity in what his lyrics. This debut is something that Unseen should be proud of, with every box ticked. From amazing spits and solo tracks with killer hooks, he also has features from Big Dutty Deeze, Supar Novar, Lost Alliance, Lullaby from H.O.O.D Fellaz as well as battle rapper Baron Mynd and Wolverhampton rapper Big Ribzy. Make sure you grab this mixtape which is hosted by UK veteran Tricksta who also supplies a couple of killer beats. Unseen is another name to add to the list of rising artists from the Midlands, he is the bridge between intelligently thought out grime and new UK reality rap.

Nature The Kidd is a name you might not be that familiar with but is a talent that has been doing his thing for a few years now. As part of Sons Of South he stepped out on a few integral UK releases almost a decade ago but until now has dropped a solo project.
‘Nature’s Way’ is a good well polished mixtape that really does have something for everyone. There’s original production and tracks over some beats you may know, there’s some killer collaborations some with acts you might know but all with killer concepts and execution.
Being able to convey his various thoughts and ideas into good songs seems to be one of Nature’s strong points, as is his clear and precise delivery. He educates in parts, entertains in others but whatever tip he is on, you get a great sense of realness through this release.
Hosted by UK veteran Tricksta, this mixtape is ‘co-signed by the legendary UK Runnings mixtape series, the UK’s longest running UK Hip-Hop mixtape series. I really hope that this is the start of something; I am fiending for more Nature The Kidd already!

This is something that got brought to our attention last week and we’ve been playing it ever since. Let us introduce you to Special who with his album ‘Minds Eye’ has delivered a consistent and truly organic release. From the off you get the vibe straight away that his is more Timbaland boots and baggy jeans than snapbacks and skinny jeans, with its real authentic Hip-Hop boom bap feel. The rapping is tight as are the concepts but above all his flow and vocal tone are just so likeable. He has a certain way of dropping his verbs and words that makes him, well I guess… er.. Special!? Lol. On the real though check for this album, don’t call yourself a hip-hop fan unless you own a copy this!

Kingston, Jamaica’s Nomad Carlos releases his new EP, ‘You’re Most Welcome’. The project – fully produced by New York-based producer, Sosa – is intended by the artist as a gift of appreciation to his core fans. “This was a result of a visit to New York,” says Nomad Carlos. “Me and Sosa were working on a project together and we did a lot of tracks. This EP came out of the process.” ‘You’re Most Welcome’ features 5 tracks, one in which Sosa and K.John make guest appearances with their own verses. Although slated for its August 19th release, the EP was made available on CD exclusively at Pay Attention, Kingston’s premier Hip Hop event, at which Nomad Carlos premiered the project in performance on stage. Nomad Carlos is one of Kingston’s trailblazers in Hip Hop and has previously released two mixtapes, ‘Live from Yard’ and ‘Me Against the Grain’, in 2012.
Changing the way we associate Jamaican music with Reggae and Dancehall is quite the feat, but Miami born, Kingston bred Hip Hop artist Nomad Carlos has climbed his way into the spotlight with his impeccable lyrical flows and grassroots efforts, propelling not only his own music, but the entire Hip Hop genre into the homes of the Caribbean people, and soon the world. The young rapper adds, “I think I have the ability to give a new outlook within the content of Hip Hop music, as I have lived a different life in Jamaica.”
Raised in Kingston from the age of 5, Nomad has officially declared Jamaica his true home, and it is the official birthplace of his rising Hip Hop career. Nomad learned from an early age to divert any negative surrounding him into a positive art form. He started writing lyrics as his way to escape certain influences and make a difference through music, reflecting on personal life experiences while growing up in Kingston to what he experiences around him on a day to day basis.
From early on, Nomad and his original crew would release Hip Hop mixtapes around Jamaica in an effort to be heard. They performed shows all over Kingston and distributed their own mixtapes in the streets which eventually established Nomad as one of Jamaica’s up and coming Hip Hop pioneers. Nomad Carlos went on to release an independent album on his own titled “Fuel To The Fire”. He eventually went on to release mixtapes “Live From Yard” and the most recent “Me Against The Grain” which had gain him a foot in the door of few hip hop blogs and local Jamaican media. Nomad Carlos also recently put out a free EP titled “You’re Most Welcome” which was released as an appreciation to his core fans.
Despite the brewing popularity and street buzz that Nomad and his crew were gaining, the young talent quickly learned that although there was no real market for Hip Hop in Jamaica, the music shall speak for itself. With Reggae and Dancehall dominating the Jamaican music industry, the genre pursued by locals is surely on its way to garnering stardom status.
Nomad Carlos recently released his latest EP titled “You’re Most Welcome”.
